Privacy Policy
The short version: Stashpad doesn't collect your data. Your budget stays on your device, or in your own iCloud account if you turn on sync. The developer never receives it.
1. Your budget stays on your device
Your Stashes, accounts, transactions and notes are stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Stashpad has no server, and no budget data is sent to the developer or to any analytics or advertising service. Files you import or export stay where you choose to save them.
2. iCloud sync (Pro, optional)
With Stashpad Pro, your budget syncs between your own devices through Apple's CloudKit, inside your personal iCloud account. Apple encrypts it in transit and at rest, and the developer can't access it. A free account never syncs to iCloud.
3. The Home Screen widget
The widget reads the amount on your Pad from a storage area shared only between Stashpad and its own widget, on your device.
4. Receipt scanning (Pro)
When you scan a receipt, the text is read on your device by Apple's Vision framework. The photo isn't uploaded anywhere, and you review what was read before anything is saved.
5. Reminders
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They never include amounts or payees, so nothing sensitive appears on your lock screen.
6. The Pad Coach
The Pad Coach uses Apple's on-device language model (Apple Intelligence). Your question and a summary of your Stashes (names, balances, targets and totals, no payees or notes) are processed on your iPhone or iPad and never sent to us or anyone else. Answers aren't stored after you close the Coach.
7. Files from MomBooks
When you send an entry from MomBooks with "Send to Stashpad", the file goes directly from one app to the other through the share sheet on your device. Stashpad shows it to you before saving anything.
8. Face ID and Touch ID
App lock uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. Stashpad only learns whether unlocking succeeded. It never receives biometric data.
9. Purchases
Stashpad Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment, and Stashpad never sees your payment details.
10. No tracking
Stashpad contains no advertising or analytics SDKs, doesn't use the advertising identifier, and doesn't track you across apps or websites.
11. Your choices
Because your budget lives on your device (and, optionally, your own iCloud), you already control it. Open the app to see it, export it as CSV (or Ledger/OFX with Pro), reset a Workspace in Settings, or delete the app to remove it. The developer holds no copy to hand over or erase.
12. Children
Stashpad is intended for a general audience and isn't directed to children under 13. It collects no data from anyone.
13. Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will change too.
